INFORMATION ON 2021 Hannaford State Champions Show Program
The State Management Council and all the branches are hosting the WA State Championship show at the Dardanup Equestrian Grounds on 19th to 21st March 2021.
Show Entries and Payments
Show Entries can be made by email to statechampswaashs@gmail.com or post to Kirstie Clark RMB 446 Boyup Brook WA 6244. Payments can be made using EFT to the following account.
WA Management Council BSB: 086 603 Account Number: 67354 1725.
Please use surname as reference on payment and include copy of receipt with paperwork to secretary.
SafeWA
Please remember to register when you arrive at the grounds each time as this is a requirement of the WA Government.
Compulsory Programme and First Aid Fee
Show Entries will not be accepted without this fee being paid by per rider.
Membership and Registrations
All owners and riders need to be financial members of the ASHS. All horses must be registered to a financial member.
Biosecurity Horse Health Declaration
The committee has included a form for this which must accompany entries for them to be accepted and processed.
Animal Welfare Policy
Will be implemented at this show.
BREASTPLATES ARE EXPECTED FOR EXHIBIT NUMBERS TO BE SEEN EASILY BY ALL, SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A BREASTPLATE.
Futurities & Maturity Eligibility:
Yearlings: Foals must be born between 1st August 2018 and 31st July 2020
and must be registered
.
Two Year Old: Foals must be born between 1st August 2017 and 31st July 2019
and must be registered.
Three Year Old: Foals must be born between 1st August 2016 and 31st July 2018
and must be registered.
Four Year Old: Foals must be born between 1st August 2015 and 31st July 2017
and must be registered.

The ‘Champion of Champions’ Working Stock Horse
To qualify for this event you must have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at any OPEN working stock horse event from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020.
Maiden Series 22 Campdraft
Will be run during this show with the same rules for horses entered in the WA Championships 2020 postponed due to COVID 19. No new entries for this event accepted.
Maiden Series 23 Campdraft:
Is now open to all maiden horses (if your horse was a maiden at any time between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2020, you can nominate). You do not have to place to qualify. This event is run through WAMC, all entry fees ($65) must be paid with show entries by Friday 26th February 2021. This will be run as 2 full rounds. Fill out the form attached and send in with your entries.
Peringa Poco Invitation Open Campdraft:

Points are being collated from the period 1st January 2020 to Dec 31st 2020 in any official campdraft in WA.

Eligible riders/horses will be notified before show nomination deadline. If you believe you have an eligible horse, please contact Brandon Holland 0429 060 576.

A rider may qualify on more than one horse.

The rider and owner must be current members and horse fully registered with the Australian Stock Horse Society.

Pay your fee ($65) with your show entries plus ground and competitor fee.
Pleasure
Pleasure classes are to be ridden with one hand and are to show the horse is a pleasure to ride.
Polocrosse
There are ridden classes followed by a class to compete for Champion of Champions ASH Polocrosse Horse to choose the ultimate ASH Polocrosse Horse for the Year. All horses must be registered and riders must be financial ASH members.
Dressage
The tests offered are a Preliminary, Novice and Elementary. The Show Committee is following the Equestrian Association guidelines for dressage, which includes the ruling that two levels may be competed on any one horse. Times will be allocated and posted on the clubroom windows on Friday afternoon.
4yr Triple Crown (Accumulative Points) Trophy
WAMC has reinstated this trophy and this year horses that have attended and competed in the futurities / maturity in 2018, 2019 and 2020 will be eligible for this trophy.
Steward’s Best Presented
Presentation award for presentation of both horse and rider combination over the whole weekend judged by stewards and presented on Sunday afternoon.
Progeny
Group of 2 horses by the same sire (must be registered) or group of 2 horses by the same dam (must be registered).
Sub Junior Classes
These classes are for riders under 8yrs who are financial members. The Lead Rein class will consist of walk and trot, while the 1st Ridden class will be walk and trot on the ring or an individual workout which may contain canter. The Kent Johnston Encouragement Award is judges choice not on a point system.
Battle of the Sexes
Limited entries of 10 per class.
Disputes
Any disputes are to be handed in, in writing, along with $50 to the Show Secretary within 1 hour of the class concluding. If the placings are upheld, then no refund. If the dispute is upheld then a refund will be given.
Helpers
Are always welcome so if you have a few minutes and would like to help please speak to a committee member.
Catering
There will be catering over the weekend as well as bar facilities both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night will have events under lights. Please come along on Saturday night and enjoy WA State Management Council annual presentations as well as the Open Campdraft under lights in the Campdraft Arena. Dardanup has quite a good store and bakery that is only about 2 kms away.

This is not our policy; it is the policy of the Dardanup Equestrian Centre. There are to be NO DOGS on the grounds at ANY time. That means they cannot be tied up at your float, on a leash, or in the car.

WA ASHS Management Committee is following ASHS guidelines relating to social media. Any competitor that is shown to be using social media to denounce or denigrate either a volunteer, judge or other competitor will be immediately asked to vacate the grounds. If you have an issue, we have a disputes committee and process.
